EAton bin roof
At Hynek Construction we put a roof stiffener package in most of our bins to strengthen the roof. The Stiffeners are bolted to the peak ring and span the roof sheet down the the bin sidewall where they are bolted to the top ring of the bin. On a 48' bin there are 9 stiffeners (2 Directly underneath the roof ladder).
Eaton has the option of a 4 panel per sidewall sheet 35 degree roof, or a 3 panel per sidewall sheet 30 degree roof. We prefer to use the 4 panel 35 degree roof as it has more roof ribs for added strength. The steeper angle also adds strength and helps condensation run off the bin roof and out of the bin instead of on top of the grain where it causes problems.

1 ring stiffener and heavy base angle ring
All of our Eaton Heavy Grain bins come with a 1 ring stiffener and a heavy base angle ring for added strength and longevity. The stiffener not only strengthens the bin on the bottom ring, it anchors the wall of the bin down to help prevent wind damage.
Unloads and powersweeps
SPRINGLAND u-trough powersweep - 5500-6000bph
SUDENGA powersweep unloading augers
SUDENGA has 8", 10", 12", and 10" U-trough Powersweep and standard unloads. Their clean floor attachment is a brush that mounts to the bottom side of the sweep to ensure that the sweep doesn't leave much behind to clean up
concrete
A solid foundation is critical to building a bin that will stand the test of time. Our foundations have a frost footing and LOTS of Rebar. As we all know, Rats and Mice make a pretty good living around grain bins, so it's critical that bins have a footing that rodents cannot undermine, and a cold winter cannot heave. We don't skimp on concrete.
After the bin is up we come back and pour the pad for the fan as well as a step in front of the door and a footing for the winding stair support. The fan pads are always poured extra long to facilitate a burner if one is added later. It's these details that keep growers coming back to Hynek Construction for their storage needs.
